Hello,
I'm also trying to find more information about John Combs and Lucinda Pounds. My gggrandmother is Catherine E. Combs, listed as the second daughter in the 1850 census for Lucinda Combs. I've tried to find Taylor Combs after that year with no luck, and the same with the other children. Catherine married James H. Sills and they had one son, Frances Marion Sills and a daughter, Mary L. while living in Sullivan County, then they moved to Illinois and later on had two more sons. I can give you more information if you want it. Do you have any idea who John Comb's parents were? Or Lucinda's?

I am interested in what you know about Betsy Searing and Samuel CHallis. I have Samuels genealogy and such but nothing much on Betsy only that she had a brother James and a sister Sarah who married Alvah Paine/Payne. Betsy named one of her sons Alvah Payne Challis. I have his obit and many articles about him in Idaho as he founded Challis Idaho. How are you related to this family? If you go to my website you can see a little about my line. www.geocities.com/crancestry
Hope to hear from you
