Hi Group,
I have all of the volunteers needed to type the Supplemental Marriage
Records! Yeah!!! Those have been sent out and should begin to be trickling
in by the end of next week. We are very close with donations to buying the
Marriage Records Books, so I'm just delighted with that news! We have $235
of the $316 needed to purchase the books.
PROJECT 2 - The next project is the Index of Names of People, Firms,
Schools, etc. It is a very cool index! I had never seen it before. It is an
every name index of 18 historical books. Once you find your ancestor's name,
you can write to Willard Library or to Ye Olde Genealogy Shoppe to get
copies of the pages. It's a great resource and one that is not well known. I
currently have 1 volunteer to start the typing.... so if you're wanting to
help, please email me. There are 240 pages in the book. You can choose any
letter(s) that you'd like, we don't have to go in alphabetical order! I
didn't have enough money to make two copies, so I'll be sending my only copy
to the volunteers. I'd like for each volunteer to send me my copy back when
finished. To find more information on the books, etc., go to this page:

Thanks to all of the volunteers that are helping out! Vanderburgh GenWeb is
going to be a great place to search for information! Please volunteer or
donate if you can! I'll make announcements to the list as we have more
information available!
I'm so excited to be the coordinator of such a great county! A special
thanks to these volunteers and donors: Mical Cisterna, Tamara Kincaide,
Nancy Patrow, Barbara McGirr, Carol Brisson, Jean Enyart, Lisa Rogier, Jan
Foss, Bobbie McCulla, Barb Manzi, A. C. Miller, Kathy Kimberlin, Lana Knor
and Claudia Wallace. Without this group of dedicated genealogists, the web
couldn't grow!
Thanks again!!!
Marsha
