I have done extensive research on the Relleke Family in Vanderburgh Co., IN and the
surrounding area. I believe they are all related.
1)Anthony Relleke born Prussia, Germ.
2)Fred Relleke b abt 1824 Prussia, Germ m bef 1853 m Bernadina Unk;
son Charles "Carl" Relleke abt 1854 Prussia, Germ; m 1884 to Mary Hartlein;
children: Frederick, Ann & Margarete Relleke.
3) Frank Relleke 1831/2 Prussia, Germ m in Posey Co., IN 1857 to Barbary Coon/Kuhn.
Children: Margaret, Frank, John, Frederick, Charles & Katie Relleke. 2nd M to Sophia
Hograeb in 1879, dau Bernadina Relleke.
4)Anna "Marie" Mary Relleke abt 1832 Prussia Germ, m Vanderburgh Co., IN 1854 to
Nicholas Wolf, Children: Margretha, Elizabeth, Francis *Frank", Berdina
"Dina", Adam, L "Edward", Mary Bernadinae, Frederick Wolf.
5) Bernadina Relleke b abt 1840 Prussia Germ, M Vanderburgh Co., 1862 to Eberhard
"Edward" Bitter (my ancestors) Children: Joseph A,Sr **(married Phillippina
Muller, dau of Conrad Muller & Clara Wintz), Elizabeth F. "Eliza", Edward F
(died young), Katherine, Edward V, Clare B.Bitter.
6) Charles Relleke, b 1839/40 Prussia Germ, lived Posey Co., IN.
There may have been more in family, these are the only ones I have found, do not know who
parents are. Remember when I was looking there were also some in Illinois. Do not know
if related. What are birth dates of your Bertha and her father William Relleke?
Name is mispelled many ways: Roelleke, Roelke, Rallaka, Roelkey, Helega, Ralega, Relleka,
Ralki. Have seen all of these in various records.
