Subject: Re: [INVANDER] Marriages 1880- - 1900 Vanderburgh Co. IN
Joseph Barnes Hill, Jr. was born in St. Louis, MO. I have
searched
St. Louis, Mo, for births and marriages for the Hobbs, and haven't come
up with anything. So, thought I would back track to when I last saw the
whole family together, which is Pigeon, Vanderburgh Co., Indiana. .
I'm beginning to suspect that there must be a move in between.
I was hoping to find James Hobb's death, because I haven't been able to
find him in St. Louis. He was born 1834 in Arkansas. I didn't find him
in MO.
In St. Louis, 1900 I located a widow, Mary Hobbs, with a dtr named
Floramae, a lot of stuff is also incorrect, if it is my Mary. I'm
shocked that I have not been able to locate a marriage for Anna,
Caroline, Alice, Florence, Grace, and Jenny. I wasn't too surprised
for Clara, because since Joseph was an engineer on a ship, that he may
have met her along the way, where ever she lived, and they were married
there. Then, they moved to St. Louis, where his family lived.
