Hmmm...
My sister-in-law did some genealogy work for me about 2 years ago. My name is Stacy
Redmond Naus. The first name of William is prevalent in several of my family tree's
generations. And there was a Lureen or Laurene whom they called "Lora" or
"Laura" too. I will look @ my family tree & get back to you, as I am not at
home right now (I'm at the library).
I'm very curious to see if there's any relationship. My line of Redmonds seemed
to go back & forth between the Midwest & Colorado (the original William Redmond
was born in Ireland & came through Canada to Michigan, then lived -- I think -- in
various places in the Midwest). The rest of them also dispersed throughout the Midwest.
MY grandfather, William Redmond (I forget the middle initial) was born in a
"Soddy" in El Paso County Colorado, which is near Colorado Springs -- I have to
look on the family tree @ home to remember the year though. My father, however, was born
in Chicago. The story is that my grandfather (William Redmond, the one born in El Paso
County, Colorado) moved East to the Midwest as a young man, where he met my grandmother
(Clara). It is just a coincidence that I now live in Colorado -- I've been here 12
years, and did not know about my grandfather having been born here until 2 years ago.
Small world, as they say. Hope some of that helps, anyway.
I will get back to you later this weekend.
Regards,
Stacy Redmond Naus
