Donald Elfreich, 81, of Evansville, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Deaconess Hospital.
He was a
retired plumber and was a member of the Local No. 136, VFW Post No. 2953 and the Owls.
Donald was a World War II Veteran, serving in Italy.
He enjoyed bowling and playing clabber in the Evansville Clabber League. In 1968 he was
the City Bowling Champion.
Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Elfreich; and parents, Herbert and
Catherine Elfreich.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Elfreich; son, David Elfreich and wife, Judy;
daughter, Donna Henning and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Jeff Henning, Kristine Bruce,
Toni Henning, Steven Henning, Donald Henning, Kayla Henning, Audrey Gower, Lori Meuth,
Jessica Weigand and Micah Elfreich; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Cannon;
brother, Ferd Elfreich; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by
Reverend Ferd Elfreich, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.Vanderburgh County Retired
Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
