Oak Hill and Locust Hill have online sites of their burials. You can
google it-- by putting Oak Hill cemetery Evansville IN in the google line.
St. Mary's is in Evansville, IN (Vanderburgh CO). Boonville is in Warrick
CO, adjoins Vanderburgh.
Oak Hill name search has :
Richard H. Goheen-- bur no 50823

(There are a few errors on these entries-- the actual age is probably
right, but the months/days being 0 is probably incorrect. Also,
Richard, the father, was male-- not female. As to the "shipped in" I
don't know if that is referring to the boy killed in Vietnam or if it
actually means the body was shipped from Boonville to Evansville. And
Perigo is a funeral home-- now known as Koehler-Perigo in Boonville and
Chandler (Warrick CO.).
I did google on the Myers funeral home-- as I didn't know if it were a
funeral home in Warrick CO in 1967 or what. I found a Myers funeral home
in Batesville, IN-- in Ripley CO, in SE Indiana, close to Cincinnati.
Batesville does have a casket company and supplies caskets to many funeral
homes in IN-- so maybe his body went first to Batesville and then was
brought down here to Warrick CO? Maybe someone out there can explain how
it worked when a dead soldier returned home.
Hope this helps. Helen Zuber Keusch
