J Krug,
I looked in the Browning obits and local history search
http://browning.evpl.org/ and didn't find anything. I this contacting
Williard Library, part of the Evansville Public Library system, is your
best bet.
They do have some other history info at
http://www.willard.lib.in.us/.

Hi
I've never searched this area before so am unfamiliar with, not just
the geography, but also what is available locally.
I am looking specifically for a Prof Jack Cassel (John D Cassel) who
was killed during a balloon exhibition in Aug 1910. The report
originated from Evansville but unsure where the accident occurred.
(may have been a town nearby)
At one time, he had his own touring company called the Jack Cassel
Balloon Co., but unknown if he was performing under that name or not.
He was a tightrope and trapeze artist and so the exhibition was NOT
about giving balloon rides to the locals.
