I'm interested in where the data comes from for this obit index.
As I've since found it is not accurate, I would like to find out why.
Was the death certificate also in error?
Cassel's accident was Aug 18 in Mt Vernon but he didn't die until the
following morning (between 7am & 8am) after having been transferred to
a sanitarium in Evansville.
So date of death was actually Aug 19 1910
Additionally, he was 37, not 38 as stated.
JK
Indiana obit index list John Cassell age 38 died 18 Aug 1910 in
Evansville, Vanderburgh Co, IN book CH-4D page227.
Willard Library has newspaper of this era on micro film. With this
death date they might do a lookup for you.
