While looking at the 1880 census for Indiana, I noticed that
Mary's Mother
had remarried and had been a widow for 1 year. This kind of gives a rough
time of death for her husband. I've tried searching in the Pennsylvania 1850
census for both James McDermott and for his Mother, Mary, but didn't find
anything. Also, I did some searching for a Mary Robinson, but didn't find
anything.
I think your best bet for finding your family is to look at the local
records. The Willard Library is an excellent source for records. I've found
the workers there to be very helpful. I have ancestors in Vanderburg, too.
My grandmother was born in Evansville. If you find out that one of your
ancestors married a Moore, you might be connected to my line. The LDS church
has wonderful record collection. It's the largest genealogy library is the
world.
I imagine you already have the DC for Joseph Hill,if not, I can send a copy
to you. Shows he is buried in Valhalla Cemetery.

The following is a marriage record I found for a Caroline Hobbs. It only
contains information to order the record:

Also found this: Perry County is east of Vanderburg.
Vanderburg,Warrick,Perry Counties. If Florence was born in'72, she would
have had to have her parents to sign consent. You can find good information
in the consent forms.
