Hi,
I wonder might someone be able to tell me where a library is located so that
I may find genealogy data for IN and IL.
We have plans to go to the Evansville IN area and Cairo IL, where my dad
grew up, in a few weeks. The Macon GA Memorial Library is excellent for the
southern states and coastal states but absolutely nothing except a few
history books, on IN, IL, KY. I'll appreciate ANY findings while I'm there.
My 4th g grandfather was in Posey co IN in 1850 and 1860 but I haven't been
able to locate him after that. My father tells me his grandfather was born
in Evansville IN which was early 1907? So apparently the family didn't
venture too far but eventually somebody went to Cairo IL then from there
the family went on to GA. I have a gap that desperately needs to be filled.
:-)
Thanks for any help.
