I sent you the information about the 1850 census, but apparently you
already had it. I suggest that you go to this website (see my signature)
and find a researcher from Vanderburgh Co., IN. They can do the look-up of
that death notice for you. We do not charge for anything other than
copying and postage. There is the possibility that she was visiting some
relatives in Evansville when she died. I notice that the age does not
match up for the death to be your Julia. It might well have been another
Julia Pollock. Your Julia would have been 77 in 1884. In 1880 she is
listed as being 73 and living in Jackson. That doesn't mean this isn't
your Julia. They often made mistakes in age, because it was all based upon
the informers information and they frequently had the wrong information. I
do find it interesting that none of the death information comes up on
either of my subscription genealogy research sites, when they have very
good records from Indiana's WPA. I did find a Julina (not the same as
Julia A.) who has the death information that you mentioned. That could be
two different people or it could be and error in the recording. At any
rate, an RAOGK volunteer should be able to help you. I'd be interested in
hearing what you find out. I hate to be left with a missing piece to
puzzles. LOL! The only census I can find is in 1900, where I find Julina
C. Pollock in KY. Of course, too late to be the one on the death
certificate. She was only 13 yrs. old, but it could be a family member
since it is a most unusual name.
