I was at Willard Library this past weekend going through city
directories, and I remembered your post when i came across a description of each
of the wards in the 1882 city directory.
The exact same description was listed in the 1884 city directory.
I couldn't remember what year you were looking for at the time - so I
didn't search for 1870.
I made a copy of the descriptions from the 1882 city directory. If you
would still like them - even though they are 12 years later than what
you are looking for - i can scan the copies in and email them to you.
Just let me know :)
I tried sending this information to you only via your email listed on the ancestry message
board, but it bounced back as undeliverable.

Pigeon township?
