According to Browning's death records, your Elmer was an orthodontist, died
on 1/12/78 at age 65. He graduated from St. Louis University and died at
Indiana University Medical while on the operating table. He had one son
and three daughters. Dr. Eric Sunderman of Pensacola, FL, Mrs. Lisa Mrs.
Lisa Martin and Mrs. Karen Shetler of the moving company, both of
Evansville and Mrs. Kristen Slaughter who was married to the son of Dr.
John Slaughter of Evansville. She resided in Glendale, CA. He had
practiced dentistry in Evansville for 41 years. He had a relative in St.
Louis - Dr. Ray There is a newspaper article dated Oct. 1, 1949 that
tells about a 14 yr old boy named Raymond C. Sunderman, Jr, whose father
was a physician in St. Louis. The boy hanged himself. The article said
that the father testified that his son had suffered from epilepsy from age
six. I read Elmer's obituary which stated that he lived at 650 S. Boeke
Rd. He died at 4 p.m. at IUMC in Indianapolis where he was a patient. He
was survived by his wife Jeanne, the children I already mentioned and
verification that his brother was Dr. Raymond C. Sunderman of St.
Louis. He had six grandchildren. He was a member of Christ the King
Catholic church. The funeral was held at Ziemer's Fountain Terrace East
and buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville. According to the death
records, a Ray Sunderman, born in 1910 died in Evansville in 1985. He
lived in Princeton, IN. Go to the Browning site and do a standard search
under the name Sunderman.

I am looking for anything about Elmer O. Sunderman, DDS. He was born in
St. Louis, MO. His father was Charles Sunderman. He was born about 1912.
He is said to have moved to the Evansville area and practiced there for
many years.
