Hi-- I asked this question some time ago, but lost a few of my files when my computer
bagan dying and I switched to an XP operating system. I know Vanderburgh Co. had a pest
house located out by the airport somewhere. I found an old map from WWII of Evansville
and along Pigeon Creek was a land area called Pest House. Can anyone tell me exactly
where it was located? Also, just who qualified for Pest House admittance? Was it
similar to a Poor Farm? I know Vanderburgh Co. had a Poor Farm also? Can anyone tell
me where the Poor Farm was? And the difference between the two? Thanks. Helen
