http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/inddbs/5182.htm
Up until November 10, 2000
This book is sorted alphabetically by County
and then alphabetically by Soldier. The original book
has a small photo of each soldier and is out of copyright.
Just find the first soldier for your county, click nextpage
and copy & paste your way to the next county ;-)
then you'll have a nice addition to your website.
There was a similar book for Vanderburgh County's Soldiers
I scanned and put online. The Vanderbugh book contains
more information about each soldier. (almost 90 soldiers)
http://www.usgennet.org/usa/in/county/vanderburgh/bios_ww1.html
It also included a list of all those who served from Vanderburgh
County.
James B. Gresham was from Vand. Co and was the first American
to be Killed in Action in World War One.
I'm putting together a World War One Topic Page for the American
Local History Network. If you have any World War One Related sites,
soldier's biographies, etc... Let me know if you want them online.

from Indiana who died in World War I. It includes, wherever possible,
name, rank, birth date and place, parents' names, place of residence at
time of entry into service, service record (abbreviated version),
occupation, place and date of death, place of burial, cause of death,
and other valuable information for each decedent. The Indiana Historical
