Re: [INVANDER] ZiliaksI hate to disappoint you, but the documents that Willard have do not
tell much-- I have yet to find my Jacob Zuber, but was checking out a couple of
Spindlers. They tell when they declared their intentions, from what country they were
from and who they are renoucing their allegiance to. The final papers (usually 4-5 yrs
after the declaration) tell much the same thing. The ones I read on the Spindlers,
just told the country they were from. Some documents will tell when they left, port of
departure and entry, age, etc. And there is nothing on females at that time. But it
is nice to get your ancestor's records, that way you have it. You might go onto the
Latter Day Saints site and sometimes they have info that you can order from them and make
copies. A relative of mine did this on the Gutekunst line and he got tons of info.
It was written in old German script and I had a person translate. Good luck
Helen Zuber !

Hello.
I was hopeful someone can help me with obtaining some naturalization records on my
ancestor Lorentz X. Ziliak. I've already obtained the final naturalization document
from 1860...what I'm interested in are the initial steps "Lawrence" took to
become naturalized. These are the papers initially filled out by him which may contain a
lot of great info on the family.
I have been able to obtain index info on these first papers and from speaking to
individuals at Willard Library, it sounds like the info does exist on microfilm or in some
other form at the library.
Here is all the info I have:
Vanderburgh Circuit Court
1843-1846
Volume F, pg. 596
Please help as I live Way out of state and cannot journey to this county. Thanks in
advance.
