I would be surprised if the Holy Trinity which burned in 1950 was the
original church. There is also a website about St. Mary's, which
indicates that it is either not the original building or has had a lot
of changes made over the years.
The best place to find info on this sort of material is the Browning
local history database. This article is about Holy Trinity

indicate the parish was organized in 1849 but built its church in 1851.
I notice that the Browning articles don't seem to appear when I do a
Google search, but it is a wonderful resource.
