The Lutheran Cemetery the lady is talking about is on St. Joseph Avenue.
Near Helfrich Park (west of Evansville) is St. Joe Avenue-- it runs N-S.
Forking off to the NW is Mesker Park Drive where the old Mesker Park used to
be. In between Mesker Park and St. Joseph is the zoo. The Lutheran Cem
is right about where the Mesker Drive fork begins-- but the Cem is on St.
Joe Ave. Now, as you go NW and come up the Mesker Park hill, you will
run into two cemeteries-- Memorial Park Cem (where Protestants are buried)
and St. Joseph Cem (where Catholics are buried). Both cemeteries adjoin
each other. The original Catholic cem was on Virginia Street-- where St.
Joseph Church is now. About 1875-80, the Catholics at the old cem. were
disinterred and reburied at St. Joseph Cem. Now, to add to the
confusion, about 7 miles northwest of Evansville is a little community
called St. Joseph (Vanderburgh Co) and they also have a Catholic Cem called
St. Joseph, of course. I have relatives buried in both St. Joe's. Hope
this helps.

Are you talking about St. Joseph Cemetery? I thought St. Joseph was a
Catholic
cemetery, as I have Catholic relatives who are buried there.
