It is a wonderful sourse for records. It will not do a soundex on the
surname. You have to use the wildcards-- in the help second at the bottom
of the page. I found my gg grandfather's (Johann Georg Gutekunst) land
purchase in Crawford CO., OH, on it. Finding a name like Gutekunst took a
bit of time, but I found him which validated my grandfather's story of his
