I have been curious about the game Clabber so I Googled it. The first site
listed, attributes the game to Evansville as well as gives the rules of the
game. Now I'll have to ask family members if they recall the game at all?

Well I didn't know it was local either until I moved away. I
know the rules
of the game, even now after many years. I was so good at it that my mom
used to take me to this place where large groups of people played in a sort
of tournament. I usually won. Seems like it might have been on Weinbach or
Riverside. Somewhere around there anyway.
I'm more curious about the origins of the game and why its so local. I
wonder if a Germanic group brought it over from Europe, or if someone local
invented the game. But I guess no one really knows by now. I've been in
Missouri (now), Tn, and Texas. Never found anyone who knew the game.
