My mother and father used to play clabber in Evansville when they were
newlyweds (mid 1940's) A few years before my mother died, she tried to find
out about the origin and rules of clabber. She couldn't find anyone that had
heard of it (here in California)
I just did a google search for "clabber" and on
answers.com, it says that
the game is played in Southern Indiana, especially Evansville. I had no idea
that it was such a "local" game. That site also mentions the rules of the
game.
