I don't know where you are located, but I think if you were to visit Willard
in Evansville and pour over all their records, you will find some goodies.
Willard also has the old German Newspaper -- the first half of the alphabet
tranlated and in book form. So you can find obits in it. Of course,
my people are in the latter half of the alphabet. Email or call Lyn (head
genealogy librarian) and I am sure they have a list of people who would be
willing to do searches for you. Willard does have a webpage. I don't
know if your people were Catholic or Lutheran, but the Catholic records
are there and many of the Lutheran records. German Catholics and
Lutherans are notorious for their record keeping-- which is wonderful for us
today. I only wish my mom's folks who were Irish Protestants were better
record keepers. Seems like many of them just fell out of trees, then
