Where would I go to hunt down immigration records on my great grandfather, Jacob Zuber,
who left France about 1851, came into NYC, and was in Vanderburgh Co and married his
first wife, Christina Bangert in July 1857 (Evansville).? He lived in Vanderburg CO
prior to the 1880 census then left for Wabash Co., IL, . I don't think he would
have declared in NY and been in Evansville to marry by 1857. Willard does have a book
on immigrants, I looked and didn't find him listed. It could be under a different
spelling. I am wondering where would a list be for immigrant naturalizations?
Thanks. Helen Zuber Keusch
