Definitely Catholic. Baptized 2 sons of Lawrence & Mary (Walter) Hughes at St.
Boniface, in Evansville. The baptisms were done in 1894 & 1902.
Bear in mind that these baptisms don't prove that L.M. Burkhardt lived in Evansville.
The grandmother & the father of the 2 baptized boys lived in Washington, Indiana from
the late 1860's to the mid 1880's, when they moved to Evansville. Rev. L.M.
Burkhardt may have been a friend of the family.
