Old Salem cemetery on Evansvilles north side is no doubt the cemetery you are looking for
and it would be well worth your time to visit it. You have many ancestors buried there
.The cemetery has quiet a history according to some of the old north siders .It is very
old,dating back to the 1700s Its an important part of the north sides history but during
the past twenty years it has lacked much care and respect. I have a few of the names you
had listed Husband- George Linxwiler B.4-3-1765 D.2-22-1852 Wife- Catherine L.
Linxwiler B. 6-3-1767 D.11-8-1858 William Linxwiler B 2-12-1809 D.2-10-1882 his wife,
Jane Linxwiler B.1-20-1815 D.4-13-1888 Earnest Allo Linxwiler B.8-29-1866 D.4-6-1900,his
wife Martha J.Linxwiler ----- Could not read all of info because the large Linxwiler
family stone has been over turned and is lying on top of the head stone of M.J.
Linxwiler. The cemetery records should be at, Salem United Methodist Church, 6311
Kratzville Rd. Evansville, In. 477!
