I don't know if the 4 Storck stones are visible or not. Go to findagrave.com, and then to "Salem" cemetery in Vand. Co. There are over 200 stones listed, but no Storcks nor Martz. I don't live in Evansville, so can't check.

G. Spore, thanks very much. I didn't have the information about Lillian. Is there any other information on the stone? Are there any Martz graves there? I didn't know about this listing, so I very much appreciate this information.

Hi, Thanks for the message. If you go to this cemetary, can you see if there is any marker for Louis Storck, b. 1849 d. 1888? He was married to Maria Martz, who died 12 Mar 1930. I have very little information about Louis; I don't know when he died or how, nor do I know if he came to Evansville with his parents or not. There was a Kris and Barbara Storck in Evansville who were about the right age, but I don't have any sources that would tell me if that is correct. I also don't know where Louis came from in Germany; I believe Bavaria, but I have no town. I have tried calling the Campground Cemetary and once got a grounds keeper, but they never responded to any questions. Are there other Storcks in the cemetary or other Martz family members? Many thanks for any assistance you can provide.

To all of those who spent so much time trying to help me find this family,
thanks so very much.
We no longer need any data prior to the day Lucy died; we just need to
know when and where she is buried...probably in Evansville....and sometime
within a 20 year span, unfortunately, of 1921 through 1941.
Lucy's maiden name was Herran, Hearin, Henry, etc....but her first
husband's name was Richard Jones, and we don't know if she ever married Ben
Garrett who also died in the auto accident.
We have seen info online that she died in 1921, but there is no
documentation to that information.

If anyone has access to death records in Evansville, IN; I am searching
for the death record of Lucy Jones Garrett or Lucy Jones who died in an
automobile accident in Evansville with Ben Garrett (husband or friend) probably
in the 30s, but that is just a guess.
Lucy was born Lucy Herran (Henry) in KY abt 1897 and is shown living in
Wheatcroft (Webster Cty), KY in the 1920 census with husband, Richard and
mother, Margaret Henry. However, "Henry" may have been changed from "Herran".
Lucy's son, Gordon Jones, b abt 1914 in KY never knew where his mother was
buried because when she and Ben died in the auto accident, nobody in the
family went to Evansville to identify the body. Gordon was never sure of
the date of his mother's death, but thought it was when he was in his teens.
Lucy must have abandoned her family and run off with Ben; that would
explain not having more information.
Whether Lucy married Ben is unknown; her last name could have been Garrett
or Jones, but apparently, they were living in KY when she died in
Evansville.
Can anyone shed more light on what happened to Lucy?

Hi Group,
I've got the WPA Marriage Records project page posted and I'm ready to take
volunteers! Please consider taking a section. They don't take long to type!
If you'd like to volunteer, please respond to the list, so other will know
what letters have been spoken for. Also, please email me OFF LIST with your
name and mailing address.
I'll get the section you want Xeroxed, then send it to you by snail mail.
You'll have a format to follow (much like the supplemental marriage
records). All you do is type the section, then email it to me. You can send
it to me as you get it finished, or send it to me in bits and pieces... your
choice. Even if you don't have much time, please volunteer to take a little
section... There are only 7 pages for "I" and "Q", "U", "V" and "Y" are also
very short.
If you have any questions, you can email me or give me a call at
919-847-4756.
Thanks again for making Vanderburgh GenWeb great!!!

Hi Group,
Barb Manzi is typing the Court Estate Index! It is a huge undertaking! She's
sent in all of the "A" records. Thanks so much Barb!!! Find the link on the
What's New page (the little bell icon at the top of the page) or go here:
http://www.ingenweb.org/invanderburgh/court/estateindex.htm
I'm also getting ready to start with the WPA Marriage Records project! If
you would like to volunteer to help type those records, please let me know
as soon as I have the information posted. There are 8 books that are an inch
thick (or more), so I will post the pages and you can let me know which ones
you wish to work on. I'd like to have all of them typed by the end of summer
or at least early fall. I'll send a note to the list describing the
breakdown of pages.
If you volunteered to type the Supplemental WPA marriage records and are not
quite finished with them, please let me know how things are coming. If you
need help, please announce it to the list, so we can finish those!
Thanks again for making Vanderburgh a great place to find information on
your family's genealogy!
