Baptisttown is correct
I don't know where the ferry to Henderson was, Dogtown might be the area near the
Dogtown Boat Ramp, 6201 Old Henderson Road mapquest.com puts it at the town
of Cypress over in Union Township. I've heard of the Dogtown Bar and Dogtown Boat Ramp
The Babytown Cemetery is right next to Mater Dei High School, so I'd assume
it was in that area.
Goosetown is in the Haynie's Corner area, (SE 2nd St and Adams Ave) where the
Alhambra Theatre is located.
Try

In checking all of the census information (I assume you have all of that),
they were going by the names of Anthony and Mary Sheely. Perhaps people
should look for various spellings with those two first names. It appears
that they Americanized their given names shortly after arrival. I find
Anthony in 1840 and 1850 and Mary (Mary Ann) in censuses 1860, 1870 and
1880. Please keep in mind that many of the cemeteries in the area are no
longer active and some of them are overgrown and hard to find. Those would
be the smaller cemeteries, of course. My g-g-grandfather died in 1892 and
his cemetery is hard to get to (property now belongs to Alcoa). Luckily
people went in and cleaned it up after cows broke through the fence and
trampled many gravestones.

Thanks for your reply. I've already checked the records at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Evansville, IN.
Yes, Both Anton and Maria were Catholics.
Are their burial records readily available for St. Wendel Cemetery?
Thanks,

Thanks for the information. Anton Schiele and Maria Anna Isenmann are the parents of Anton F Schiele, the husband of Elizabeth Lunkenheimer.
I've looked at the St. Joseph Cemeteries, (both in the county and city), but they are not buried at those locations. Two years ago, I spent hours at St. Wendel cemetery looking for their gravestones, but I could not find them. Perhaps the grave stones are deteriorated.
Anton and Maria were Catholics. According to Gerhard Finkbeiner in the book Heimatbuch Schuttertal, their names appear in Rev. Roman Weinzapfel Marriage Records and were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county.
However, their oldest children Anton and Maria were born in Germany, prior to their immigration. Their remaining children ( Katherine, Anna, Elisabeth, David and Joseph) were born in Indiana, according to Census records.
Is there another cemetery (Catholic or not) in the St. Joseph/St. Wendel area?
Thanks,

I found Anton and Elizabeth (Lunkenheimer) Schili
buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery
(the cemetery way out in the county). This is a
Mother/Father tombstone.
Elizabeth b. 31 July 1835 d. 1 July 1909
Anton b. 21 Sep 1824 d. 26 March 1913
There are a few others but these were the oldest dates.
This came from Volume 1 of Cemetery Records of
Vand. Co., IN. There were none listed in Volume 2.

Just tried Browning Data base to see what I got http://browning.evpl.org/ I found a Joseph Schiele born 3/12/1868 and died 3/24/1957. His father is listed as the late Anton, but his mother is listed as Elizabeth. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery. I can check St. Joe on Monday and see if they have Anton listed.
