Hi,
My name is Cindy Meeks.
I was born in Evansville & did not grow up with my father's (Marvin Mayes)family.
I can go back as far as David L. May born abt 1802 in Ky.
He married Rebecca VanWinkle in 1825 in Perry Co. In.
I am descended from their son James Deforest May.
I would love to find David's parents so I can continue with my research.
I know there are a BUNCH of Mayes's & May's living in Evansville.
Are there any cousins out there who can help me??
Thanks,
Cindy Mayes Meeks

did ya ever find your sister and family? let me know
Hi, I saw the name Herrmann and was wondering if that name fits into
the Bangert line. My g-grandfather, Jacob Zuber, married (first
wife) a Christina Bangert and had several children. Christina had
two sisters-- Anna and Elizabeth, and some brothers. I am away from
home and do not have my material with me but will have it later today.
Christina died abt 1877 and is buried at St. Joseph Cem, St. Joseph,
IN (Vanderburgh CO). Jake left the county and went to Wabash CO
where he remarried a Hannah Goodart/Gutekunst Anthis. I am from
Hannah. I would like more on the Bangert family and am trying to
locate a wedding picture of Jacob and Christina. They were married
at Holy Trinity in July about 1857. It was a double wedding with
Anna Bangert and a Herman. Thanks so much. Helen Zuber Keusch

Does your Nicholas have a wife Elizabeth and a son Wendal?
Sue
Any clues as to where he lives? Have you tried doing a Yahoo people
search? There are 14 listed and one is in Indiana and a Charles R. Gish is
in KY. Check it out.
