Hello, my search into the Hobell family is due to William Charles Hobell 2nd wife was my grandmother Amy Ellen( nee Walton ) Gilmore I have received details on the family from Evansville Library.
My Grandmother was born 1888 in London and until just recently I could not find their deaths but through this site I found William d 1956 age 80 and Amy d 1965 age 77 both were buried in a Military Cemetery.
I have spoken to Sylvia Thacker and would very much like to hear from any of William's family even through we are not related except through the marriage of William & Amy.
best regards
Joan

I'm just now getting back into genealogy after some months, and just saw your message about John F. (Frank) Laugel on the message board.. Our e-mail address has changed so I didn'tget your message originally by e-mail. If you are referring to the J.F Laugel born in 1869, he was my grandfather. He had a son by the name---my uncle.I have some information on them and will be glad to share it with you.

Fay, Are you finding any connection between Barbara Bohleber Moser (1828-1880) wife of John Jacob Moser (d. 1891) of Legelhursch and John Johannea Bohleber (1791-1856) husband of Anna Marie Jockers (b. 1795) of Odelshoefen. John and Anna had son John Bohleber (1815-1884) who married Barbara Weigel (1821-1905) in 1838 and later came to Vanderburg Co. IN

Subject: Re: [INVANDER] Obituary Help
I live about thirty five miles from the Williard Library but have always
wanted to
visit there. I am afraid their hours and my work schedule, along with
the distance,
just do not go together very well. Could someone advise if they have
any information
on line or if they are available to answer inquiries. If so how do you
go about getting
help from them. Address, cost etc. Would love to have the knowledge to
utilize their
resources as I understand they are quite extensive and my husband has
ancestors
from there. (Brokamp, Thuis, Tenbarge, Raben)
Thank You,
Judy Arnold
.
Judy, Here is another site in case your don't have it. It is the Browning
Obit site.
_http://browning.evcpl.lib.in.us/_ (http://browning.evcpl.lib.in.us/)
There are two Brokamps that died in the 1920, several Thuis, and quite a few
Tenbarge and Raben. Hope you have good luck.
Linda Braden Gray
Thank you, Alesia,
That is a little newer than I need but you never know. I will check
it out. Sometime you find something where you least expect it.
Thanks Again,
Judy

I have found the Willard Library to be an excellent source for newspapers
going back eons of years on microfilm...each time we visit that Evansville, we
spend at least 2 days looking at newspaper films for obits, articles, etc.
Searching SCHLAUCH, GRIMM, KOEHLER, WUST, NONWEILER, SIMMS, HEYDEN, SELLMAN,
SCHULZ, OHNING, and MOOG.
Jo-Ann Seitzinger
Ryan, A quick check of the Williard Library Marriage Index indicates that
Alice Odell Miles and Carl Leehy were married in 1952. Larry and Harold were
both born about 1942 (twins?) according to their ages at their death. Harold
is on the Browning site listed as Harold Edward Miles. Would guess that
either their father died or divorced Alice and Carl was their step father. Hope
this helps in your search. Good Luck.

I have a Phelps death certificate that I will be happy to send to someone
that might be researching this family.
Tillie Phelps, died November 8, 1882, age 0, race: black, place of death 1223
W. Virginia, cause of death: colic.
I order this death certificate as a possibility of finding the
great-grandmother I am looking for, Licettia Floyd Phelps, she was born about 1858 and
died sometime between 1880 and 1883. She was living with my great-grandfather
William Jasper Phelps and three children in Evansville in the 1880
census.Licettia was the daughter of Bluford Floyd and Mary Eliza Ford and was born in
Warrick Co., IN.
Any help appreciated,
Phoebe Pantier Bush
Have you tried the Browning website. I have always

I was just looking at the site and found a card on Alice Leehy and a digital card on Larry Miles, but couldn't find anything on Harold Miles. The card for Alice and Carl Leehy both list Larry and Harold Miles as their sons, but I would like to know how.

The record probably contains the info you already have except maybe also the name of the person who performed the ceremony. An exception would be if one of the participants was under age and needed parental consent. Good luck. Don
