In reply to Bonnie Titzer Hyatt: My great grandmother was Mary Bennen. She was married first to John Tepool and was the mother of my grandfather, George Henry Tepool. I barely remember two of his half-brothers, Frank and Theodore. You are Frank's daughter, correct? Do you have any information on the Bennen family? I would appreciate anything you can tell me. I found marriage records for Mary Bennen in microfilmed records of St. Wendel parish at Willard Library.

Sharon: If you live in UT, and you obtained the info you have to date, why
can't you get the rest of the information at the FHL in Salt Lake City? I
was able to get all of the documents on film there.

I am very interested in the photos you have. What a nice gesture for you to post your message! My Mom and Dad both were teenagers in the 30s-40s in Evansville (Doerr and Hass) and as a matter of fact, my Dad worked for awhile as a photographer for the Press (I believe that was the name). He might have taken some of them. Would you please e-mail me privately?
Thanks,
Nancy

How do I go about getting obits from the Evansville newspapers. I'm
interested
in the obituary for Margaret McCarty Mably. Died January 16, 1991, in
Evansville. Died at the age of 102.
Also James Allen McCarty from October 21, 1925. Died at the age of 75. Died
in
Evansville, too. If I had to choose between the two of them, I would prefer
James Allen's. Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated!
