Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Please note that in 1880, Jacob and Anna were living in Warrick County,
which abuts on Vanderburgh County's eastern boundary. Warrick Co. does
have its own list and someone might be able to help you. It seems likely
that they were living there when Anna died. I suggest that you explore in
that county. My ancestors are from there and I've had success with
searching through their old records. They may well have her death recorded
there. If you live in the area it should be easy to do. I won't be back
there until September so can't help much right at this moment.

would anyone have some info or know where there might be some on a tin shop business that was in Vanderburgh County in the 1800's. May have started in the mid 1850's or later. Owner was a William Schlutter (Schluter) b ca 1820 Germany. A son, also named William appears to have help in the business. Would love to share info with anyone who might have a connection to this line. Any help greatly appreciated.
It is interesting that Lucinda lists herself as a widow in the 1900
census. Obviously James is already in the state hospital. He is there in
1910 and 1920. He is missing in 1930. He is not listed in the Browning
genealogical site where all area deaths are listed. Because of his
longevity in the hospital, I would assume that he died at the hospital and
was probably buried on the grounds. I do not know how much luck you would
have in writing to the hospital. I should think that a death certificate
had to have been issued so you might check with the Vanderburgh County
Health Dept. for info. I found them in the 1880 census (J. M. Ashcraft in
Pike Co) and Maude has married and in the 1900 census is listed as Maude M.
Patton with her son, Charles E. , living with her mother. No evidence of
her spouse, but she is listed as married. I do not know what information
you want. I see that Lucinda is the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth
Willis and she has siblings as recorded in the 1870 census. I do not know
what information you are seeking. Let me know and I'll see if I can
help. Are you only interested in his death and burial information?

Hi, Were Nettie Kamps parents Albert Kamp and Anna Gramm? If so I am doing research on that Kamp family and may be able to help out.
Hi,
Indiana birth records from Heritage Quest start in 1850. FamilyTreeMaker has
the records too, but the spellings are off quite often and searching can be
laborious.

I'll try to get a look at it the next time I'm there. Willard also has
