Hi, I am working on the Schmitt/Alles line of Dubois County and found some
of these Alleses wondered into Posey and Vanderburgh Counties. One Alles
became the Alexander Funeral Home director, two Alleses had a furniture
store in Mt.Vernon. I am trying to piece this family together. Names
allied with this family (from what I can gather) are Schenk, Key, Rappee.
Would like to add to this family-- and be happy to share the Schmitt line
(you will need a large memory computer). There were no fertility problems
with these folks. Helen Zuber Keusch
forever searching in the LAND, EDWARDS, WOFFORD, REEVES, MULLINIKS,
CRABTREE, GOODWIN, CHAPMAN, BENNETT, ZUBER, BANGERT, ANTHIS,

Hi List
Just wanted to ask a question on Divorces.
My children's line, Margaret SHOFF married a Albion Paul GEST
on the 24 Dec 1884, I have Albion with his first wife on the 1880 census,
till trying to find Margaret Shoff.
Margaret then married William EDWARDS 9Th June 1906 BUT she has
that she was divorced 3 times. 13 Sep 1886 so this must of been from Albion
P GEST. Then she has 13 Dec 1899 then Sep 1901.
So my question is why is she till GEST on her fourth marriage?
Are there records on Divorces with the LDS & what do they say?
I know Margaret is living with William EDWARDS on the 1900 census
& has her son Albion P GEST Jr but he is down as Alvin GEST 16.
I would appreciate any help on this please & thank you for your time.
Jennette GEST nee BYRNE
QLD Australia.
