I have a Nellie Littlepage who was born in 1907 in Henderson County, KY. Henderson, of course, was right across the river from Vanderburgh County. People apparently went across the river on a regular basis. Nellie's grandfather was half Cherokee. If this might be what you are looking for, feel free to contact me at

My aunt, Elsie A. Van Bibber, married William Tilcamp on 11-14-1922 (probably in Vanderburg Co. IN). They had one child, a daughter Jeanne D. Tilcamp, born 6-1-27 in Vanderburgh County. Jeanne died 10-7-03. She had told me that her parents seperated when she was very young. Do you have any information on William Tilcamp?

KILLED NEAR HANSON
Wm. Box, A Brakeman, Fell From a Fast Train Yesterday and Was Killed
Wm. BOX, a brakeman on second section of No 80, a north-bound freight train, fell from a car near Hanson yesterday and was instantly killed.
Conductor LITTLEPAGE and crew did not miss him until they arrived at Slaughtersville, and while awaiting orders to run back and look for BOX, they received word that train No. 52 had found the remains and would convey them to Slaughtersville.
The particulars as to the manner of death could not be ascertained before going to press. It is not known whether death was caused by the fall or the body was crushed beneath the swiftly moving train.
BOX was a man of family and resided at Evansville. The remains were carried to that place for interment. (Source: Madisonville (Ky.) Hustler, Tue., Dec. 29, 1896)

CHARLES HOPKINS
DIES AT HOTEL WELLINGTON LAST THURSDAY
Of Stomach Trouble Which Seized Him Suddenly--Member of a Prominent Family of Evansville--Married to Miss Berdie Jernigan, of This City
Mr. Charles HOPKINS, who is quite well known in Madisonville, and who married Miss Birdie JERNIGAN, of this place six or eight months since, died rather suddenly at Evansville last Thursday afternoon. The following account of his death is taken from the Evansville News of Friday:
Mr. Charles HOPKINS died suddenly at the Hotel Wellington last evening at 6:15 o'clock. The deceased was 34 years of age and a son of the late Frank HOPKINS, United States steamboat inspector. He was married and was born and reared in Evansville.
Mr. HOPKINS was traveling for the American Biscuit and Manufacturing Co., of Nashville, Tenn., and registered at the Hotel Wellington a week ago yesterday. He complained of ill health and remained about the hotel most of the time. Yesterday morning Mr. HOPKINS arose about 5 o'clock and sat in the office of the hotel for about an hour when he concluded to take a walk, as he complained of feeling unwell. He was gone only a short while when he returned and told the clerk that he believed he would go to his room and take a rest. At noon he drank a cup of coffee and ate a light dinner and to a group of friends expressed himself as feeling wee. Along in the afternoon he was seized with cramping pains in the stomach and a nervous headache and finally Dr. TOLIVERWERTZ was called who administered to the wants of the suffering man. The patient gradually grew worse until 6:15 o'clock, when he died in great pain. He was conscious to the last and at times conversed with several friends w!
ho stood near the bedside.
Word was immediately sent to his relatives and they had his remains conveyed to his brother-in-law, Mr. King COBB's home, No. 212 Oak street, where they will be kept in state until the funeral.
Mr. HOPKINS was at one time steamboat clerk and the took to the road traveling for firms in St.Louis, Terre Haute and Nashville. Those of his family surviving him are: Three sisters, Mrs. Kings COBB, of this city; Mrs. Fred THOMAS, of Memphis and Mrs. Will HARTMAN, of Indianapolis; three uncles, Messrs John, Edward and Robert HOPKINS, of this city; three aunts, Mrs. Frank BURNS and Mrs. Alex FOSTER, of this city and Mrs. C. TRUMBLER, of Chicago, Ill. (Source: Madisonville (Ky.) Hustler, Tue., Dec. 15, 1896)

Thank you again for research for me!
Lowessa Myler was the daughter of Frederick Grant Myler (killed in action in WWI). She died at age 2 while he was oversees.
There is another Lowessa Myler (my great-great grandmother) who was Fred's sister. I am thinking Fred & his wife named their daughter after his deceased sister. My grandmother died at age 26 years in Tiffin, OH from a "neuralgia of the heart" according to her obituary. Very suddent and quick death.
Thanks again for your information!

My mother Mildred Ellen Von Harten is the daughter of William Jared and Madalin Caroline Crackel Von Harten. She and her sister Margaret Wilma are in fact related to the Gleichmans. My grandfather search his whole family way back across to Europe. My mother has the entire print out, she lives in Phoenix AZ I will have her get me a copy and forward that information to you. I know my grandfathers brothers and sister but not much else for memory. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful search.

I cannot help you with Littlepage, however believe your mother comes from the same line of Rahm's has my husband. The Rahm's came from Germany and settled in Vanderburgh County. My research shows: Rahm marries Schmachtenburg, they have nine children. One daughter marries Gleichman, whose daughter marries a Von Harten. Along the line a Von Harten marries a Goeke. Another daughter of the Rahm/Schmachtenburg marries an Illing, whose daughter marries a Schlamersdorf.
If you can help me with the Gleichman and Von Harten, I would appreciate it. I have quite a few gaps and not been able to contact either a Gleichman or Von Harten
Thanks,
Dawn
