I am trying to locate a lady that is very "dear" to my sister's heart, as she
last year helped my sister and her husband Coxon locate a connect to his
family; which they went this summer and visited in Brooklyn, NYC. Please PIP
if you read this, please get back to me Linda's sister, she has been trying
to find you!

I'm terribly sorry but I can't remember; it was about 8 or 10 years ago that I saw it, and I didn't write it down because I didn't intend to use it. Julia

Julia, thanks for your reply. You write"... In addition, that particular published version left out some entries or parts of entries"
I am trying to locate that published version. What is the name of the publication? Who published it? When/where was it published? Is it available for purchase?
Do you have any more information about the published version?
Thanks

I am the daughter in law of John Wesley Gonterman. I believe John Wesley Sr. was the brother of Edward Gonterman. We are trying to locate the Gonterman decendants. I think we may be connected. June Gonterman married Alfred Price. Doris Gonterman's second husband is William "Bill" Jeffries. These are the only relatives that we currently know for sure. Please help if you can.

Hey Judy,
This is Judy, and I would bet that I do have relatives in Daviess County. I know some of my relatives lived in Daviess County and moved around. I know some stayed in Reed,KY and other's moved to Henderson. Several lived in and around the Evansville area. Where exactly are you looking? Maybe I have something in my records to help you.

This might be a stab in the dark....but I havent had much luck. My grandmother is Alice(Edith?) Laviolette daughter to James Dit Laviolette. they migrated from somewhere in the early 1900's to MI. I know that Alice's mother passed away soemtime in the early 1930's and she went to stay with her all female cousins(like 7-10 of them). She married Otis P. Coleman and was disconnected from the fammily as she had married a non-catholic man. In those days I was told it wasnt proper and they refused to accept her marriage. Plaese forward me any info u may have. I hope I may have passed soem useful info on to u.Good luck in your search!

Carol,
I always thought that Henderson, KY is the place most folks in the area
would have gone and still go. The age limits are lower and apparently
the waiting period is shorter than it is now in Illinois. Another
thought in KY would be Morganfield, which is just a few miles from
Shawneetown, IL.
Of course, they could have taken a train to Indy or Terre Haute.

Hi, I really don't have any connection to your family but attended a cemetery preservation workshop in Evansville last month and we did hands on training at Camp Ground Cemetery in the northern part of Evansville and there were many LINXWILER's in the area we worked in. I can't say if I remember any of the names. Cemetery readings for Evansville seem to be hit and miss, as many of the cemeteries are very large. Most of these stones were pre-1900.
