Looking for any information at all on a Judge Lucas Robinson, living in Evansville IN in the 1850s. Apparently, he was an ardent abolitionist, who was active in the ‘Underground Railroad.’
He was appointed guardian of a young orphaned child named Jane Cole (b. 1 Jan 1851) (also called Jennie Cole) sometime in the 1850s.

Looking for any information on the parents and early childhood of Jane (Jennie) Cole, b. 1 Jan 1851 in Evansville, IN, and d. 3 April 1950 in Washington, D.C.
Her parents, who were born in England, died near Evansville, IN, when she was very young. Her father's name may have been James Cole.
After their deaths, she became a ward of an ardent abolitionist, Judge Lucas Robinson, of Evansville IN, who was active in the ‘Underground Railroad.’
She taught school in Evansville and married John Hanson Beadle (who later published the Rockville Tribune newspaper in Parke County, IN) on 25 Dec 1872.
Looking for information on the family of Ada E. Scott and William Hankins who
married pre 1886. I have been told that she was only 12-13 at the time. Who
are the parents of Ada E. Scott, when did they marry and what children did
they have? Thanks.

I am looking for information on Samuel Cisney and Lillian Katherine Medcalf
Cisney. The information I have says that Lillian was born 3/24/1881 in
Spencer County, IN. Her death date is 4/21/1958 and burial is in Memorial
Cemetery, Evansville, IN. I am wanting to verify this and I have no birth
or death dates on her husband Samuel Cisney. I'm not sure if he died in
Vanderburgh County or not. If someone could help with any information I
would appreciate it a bunch.
Thank you...Jeannie
Hi List,
I'm living Australia & doing my children's LINE.
This is what I have so far.
I just had a film in for Marriages for Evansville IN.
Albion P GEST Jr married Sadie BAKER
22 JULY 1907
He was a machinist, Sadie a weaver.
He was (B) 10 May 1884 his father Albion P GEST he was born
Miami co OHIO & a DRUGGIST & living Cannelton IN.
Mother Margaret SHOFF she was born Vicennes IN.
My 1906 she married a William EDWARDS.
It looks like Jr was married before this, must of been out of Vanderburgh
as his first (M) isn't on the index.
It has by death 1904.
Sadie BAKER was adopted by John Snodgrass, she was born 7 July 1888
no parents information on her parents just that they are dead.
Albion P GEST Sr first married Susie A SETCHELL on the 20 Aug 1873
That's all on the marriage.
The LDS Centre where I go just got the 1880 disc in, I found Albion 30y
He is a DRUGGIST living Evansville he was born Indiana but on his son
marriage has Miami Co OHIO. His father born OH mother OH.
Susan is 25 born IN father England Mother NY.
a daughter Mary GEST 3y.
Albion GEST SR second (M) to Margaret A SCOFF was 23 DEC 1884
Albion is still 30 even though he was 30 in the 1880 census.
He had P. K looks like a K GEST.
Margaret SHOFF was 21 her father J. M spelt SCHOFF
I'm pretty sure I have Albion GEST Sr mother living with her married
daughter Amelia SULZER husband Samuel living in Cannelton Perry.
She is Mary Jane GEST she is 48y said she was born OH as was her parents.
I also think I have found the marriage for P H GEST to a Mary Jane JACKSON
on the 12 FEB 1846 in Ripley Co IN.
Would anybody have a Directory for Cannelton to see if Albion
is there been a Druggist, please.
Also is there any people on the LIST that do looks ups on the census
Please.
I can't seem to work out what films to order with the LDS as all I can see
is one film number for a county & there would have to be more films to
cover the area?
Any help would be appreciated this is my first time doing a US Mailing List.

Looking for anyone who may remember Ed Smith who, according to Browning Obit. site, died 3-10-1980, and his occupation was to be at truck stop at corner of Diamond Ave. & Hwy. 41 where he had lights on his car to escort oversize vehicles thru the city. Ed was my husband's father whom my husband never knew for the past 65 years!!! Hoping someone remembers him or even has a photo of him. Hope he had a friend out there, no family members had contact with him that we know of. As far as we know, my husband is only living family member. Would love to hear from anyone who knew Ed Smith!!!
