Message Board Post:
I am looking for any information on the Deusner or Hagemann surnames in Vanderburgh and Posey Counties. The family that I am looking at right now is Fredrich Heinrich Hagemann, born 3 October 1839 in Germany, and his wife Augusta Deusner, born 9 August 1850 in Vanderburgh County. I am looking for any information on their parents, siblings, children, or any information at all on those surnames as they will probably be related in some way.
I am also looking for Fredrich and Augusta's marriage date and place. I am guessing, right now anyway, that they were married in Vanderburgh County because their first child was born there.
They moved to Posey County in the early 1870's where the rest of their children were born. They joined the Trinity United Church of Christ congregation and all of their children were christened there.
Thank-you for your help and feedback in this query.
Kristin

Adam T. Lannert was married to my Great Grandmother. In fact, I have an advertisement for his stone mason business with his partner Sam G. Rickwood (pictures of both included). The 1870 census in Evanville list his age as 22, born in Germany. Adam's wifes name was Mary (Herman<n> and she was born in Switzerland. At that time they had 2 children, Nettie age 12 and Katie at age 9. Nettie was born in Ohio with Katie being born in Vandenburgh. The Bush family from Ohio merged with Lannert with my grandmother being born of the union. Her name was Irene Marie Bush. Mary Herman'ns husband was Charlie Larch. My email address is ogalirish(a)aol.com should you want more information.

I have a Moses Elsea born in Pickaway County on Sept. 7, 1835. His parents were Moses & Mary Ann Orman (Oman).
I'm having problems finding the Elsea family on the census even tho I've tried spelling their name every possible way and have used soundex. Any suggestions?
I do have info on them from 1834 to present day if you are interested.

Message Board Post:
My ggg-grandfather was Nathan Moll (1833-1914) and he died in Evansville in 1914. He moved around the Midwest quite a bit -- in 1900 he was in Louisville, KY, and in 1891, he was
in Cincinnati.
I've just discovered that there is no Soundex index for Indiana for the 1910 census. Is there an index out there so that I won't have to wade through all of Evansville to find him?
I have his death certificate, and it didn't list an address.
Thanks!
- Heather

Jo Ellen, I am also in Nevada and have to do my research by correspondence and Internet. I have contacted the Oak Hill Cemetery Office and they were most helpful. The phone number that I have for them is (812) 435-6045. Address: 1400 East Virginia St., Evansville, IN 47711.
I also have the Cemetery Records for Vanderburgh County - Vol 1 & 2 if that would help.
E-mail me if I can be of further help.

Happy Day to you also. And thank you.
I had already found the information from Browning , but was hoping to have the Oak Hill Cemetery information confirmed. Maybe this is confirmation enough.
The Browning site is wonderful and highly recommended.
