This is what I have found when I began untangling the many DAVIS families for the Union
County Gen. Section.
I HAVE not been able to go back and do more research. I just have finished the JAMES
DAVIS family. Next will be the Quaker Davis Family.
This is just a WORKING Copy. I hope it gives you a nudge in the right direction.

Samuel native of Pennsylvania. He moved to Butler county Ohio in 1814.

Died: 12 October 1885, Union County Indiana Buried West Point
Married: Mary A. Craft in Franklin Co. Indiana. She was the daughter of Timothy and
Hannah Craft, both Quakers.

Died: 1902 Age 79 ,

Andrew F. Davis was a Private in the company of Captain T.W. Bennett. Mr. A. F. Davis
purchased the Herold office [Newspaper] in March of 1872, who, with the company with Mr.
William Hamilton, published the paper until January 1883
