To add a generality to this very useful information, I can say that the
answer to your question depends on the time period. The earlier records had
just the names of the bride and groom, and the date, plus the name of the
person who performed the marriage. Some of the later records -- late 19th
century and early 20th century -- contain a wealth of information.

http://familysearch.org has two online databases of marriage records that
include Union County, Indiana entries. At least one of those databases has
images of the records available to view online for free. Many entries have
birth dates and locations for bride and groom, plus parent names.
