Cedar Grove is not listed in Union Co at the present time, however there
is a Cedar Grove listed in St. Joseph Co, IN near South Bend.
To locate such cemeteries a good site is the U.S. Geological Service
site at
http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html
fill in what you want on this form,
Feature name in this case would be Cedar Grove,
FEATURE TYPE would be cemetery,
then location state INDIANA,
and Union for county.
this will give you in this case NOT FOUND, so enter only cemetery,
Indiana, Union Co and it will list all cemeteries in Union Co, the
latitude, longitude and a wide area map, scan down more and under the
map you will find ZOOM IN, do this and keep doing this until you get the
most detail available that you want. This site is good for the entire
United States. In one case I only listed Salem for FEATURE NAME and
nothing else, it listed about 380 sites named Salem, I could have
limited it to only cemeteries named Salem and it would list them where
ever. Then buy your self one of these Geological Satelite receivers and
you can locate anything in the US. since they give you these coordinates
for all sites.
For David Rinker if you want a map of 1876 Union Co, from the 1876
Indiana Atlas send me your regular mail address and I'll copy that page
and send to you since it shows some sites of churches and cemeteries at
that time. Tho it only showed dirt roads at that time, I've found most
of these roads still exist, hopefully paved now. This map is about 8
3/4" X 12" so I'll copy on 8 1/2" X 14 for you. NO CHARGE

PS These Atlas's for all of Indiana in 1876 are still available from the
Indiana Historical Soc. in Indianapolis for $15 for non members and $10
for members.
Atlas's for "some" other Indiana individual counties in greater detail
(landowners) are available from the Bookmark in Knightstown, IN for very
reasonable prices, (under $20)
