Have you ever looked at History Of Union County 1821-1989? Page 257 has
some lineage for the Rude Family. I recall the Rude factory had a contract
with Sears and Roebuck Co to manufacture Manure spreaders in the early
1920s. It burned shortly after that.

Thank you as I know nothing about Liberty or where anything was or is
in it.
It seemed to be a very nice community when I was there about four
years ago. Do you know when they went out of business or when this fire
occured? Looking at the 1899 article it seemed to be a very big concern and
yet I can find out very little about it from the net.
