William Wood Sr. born March 8, 1799 in the Co. of Longford, Ireland - in
the civil
order book B, Union Co. , Indiana did renounce his allegiance to
the present King of England March 1831 at the age of 32 - he embarked from
Dublin, Ireland 26 May, 1827 and landed in New York. His wife's name was
Sarah Little - I was in Co. Longford, Ireland in Sept. 2000 and found
possiably the tumbstone of Sarah's parents - I am returning in June 2002(5
weeks) to go to Drumanure, Co. Longford where a Thomas Wood resided in 1854
the only Wood listed in Co. Longford after the famine.
