My apologies to you all. Things have been in an uproar on the home front
lately. We had a family reunion weekend before last that I had been working
on since last year. And the usual spring/early summer jobs outside were
keeping me busy.
To top it off, a week ago Sunday, a storm came through and blew our
mobile home off it's foundation. We have been having to stay in town ever
since. I am out here for a while today, and trying to catch up on mail. I
have one phone line back in service, and we have power again obviously. But
there is much work yet to be done.
They got the trailer moved back on the foundation evening before last,
and blocked and leveled yesterday. Today they anchored it back down.
I'm still not sure where this all will end up. We have requested the
adjustor come back out, as we keep finding more problems. The flooring has
pulled away from the floor joists, the roof dips and sways, and the front
door, frame and all, is out of kilter.
We're hoping to be able to move back in tomorrow, but still won't have
gas, water, or sewer lines. But
we are survivors and we can use a sump pump to get water if we need it.
There is still roof and siding repairs, and the central air was wiped out,
so it has to be replaced.
I had really thought that once I got through the reunion, things would
settle down and I could get back to being more busy with lists. Silly me!
:O)
So I do apologize for my silence, and hopefully now things will start
leveling back out.
