Brenda,
I was just reviewing Aug. e-mail notices on the Union Co. bulletin board and
saw yours in Aug. mentioning that your family had married into the Waddell
family. My family did the same. Perhaps you are researching as far back as
I. An ancestral aunt, Elizabeth Willis, married Charles Waddell. I believe
Charles may have come to Indiana as early as 1807. My Willis family may
have come with him or shortly thereafter. I have proof of the presence of
William Willis (father of Elizabeth) in 1811. They all came from NC. They
all lived in the area between Liberty and the Ohio state line (Center
Township). I have also seen the Cartwright name. I am writing from memory
but think I am accurate. Have you run across any information on the Willis
family? Elizabeth Waddell was a sister to my ancestor Robert Willis.

Was Zephany Burt any relation to Jepheniah?
He was the father of my ggg-grandmother Eunice Burt who married John
Bradway Jr. in 1818, Franklin county, Indiana. Their children married
into the Lafuze, Parker, Matthews, Paxson, Straughn, Waddell, and
Cartwright Families. Would also like to hear from descendents of any of
these families with Bradway roots.
