Hi Steffani. I was actually researching the surname Dunagan, and at the time
thought it might be the same as Dungans. I came across these in my
research, and they could possibly work as the parents of your Nancy born in
1825. She was probably married and away from home in 1850, but these dates
are right. This was Liberty Township, Union County: Joseph Dungan, 49,
farmer, born in PA. Martha Dungan, 49, born in OH. Elizabeth Dungan, 21,
born in IN. Mary Dungan, 17, born in IN. Margaret Dungan, 13, born in IN.
A John Beckner(?) lived with them. He was 11 and born in Germany.
The next family I only have in handwritten notes: Elizabeth Dungan, 49,
born in VA. Robert Dungan, 20, born in IN. They lived in Brownsville Twp,
Union County.
Also from Brownsville Twp, there was a Thomas Dungan, 30, carpenter, born in
IN. Sarah Dungan, 32, PA. ???? Dungan, female, 3, IN. George W. Dungan,
1, IN. (Thomas could be a brother to Nancy.)
And I did not find a connection between the Dungans and Dunagans. I may
have other names, but I have just moved and have not unpacked all boxes.
Hope this helps a little bit, Janetta

Hi Janetta: I'm just now getting around to responding to your
post
regarding Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Thomas Dungan on the l850 Union Co.
Census.
You said you have information on these people and I would love to have
whatever you would like to share. I haven't sorted out all the Dungans
of Union Co., IN yet, but am working on it. I very much appreciate your
help.
I'm still looking for the parents of Nancy Dungan who was born in
Brownsville, IN in l825.
