This message is not directed to anyone in particular. This is something
everyone should and probably does know but will just mention it again so
nobody gets in trouble.
When going to cemeteries on private property always be sure and get permission
before stepping onto it. Without doing so you are suject to trespass and
a lot of farmers will not hesitate to prosecute. I grew up in Union Co.,
Indiana and I know a lot of the farmers are not too friendly to trespassers.
There is one of the cemeteries that holds a number of my ancestors. I have
permission to go back to it but must notify the owner each time I plan
to visit. They are tired of having their crops and fences broken down.
So as a simple act of courtesy always ask before entering. You just might
save yourself some money.
