Elizabeth THOMPSON b. ca. 1798-1805 Campbell Co. KY (daughter of Nicholas
"Closs" THOMPSON, Jr. and Rebecca WILSON), wife of Samuel CARSON.
An entry on Ancestry World Tree (see source below) says that Elizabeth THOMPSON and Samuel
CARSON married in 1819. However, there is a marriage of Samuel CARSON and Elizabeth
THOMSON (sic) 06 MAR 1828 in Union Co. IND. This marriage record says that "Carson
is of Franklin Co. IND."
Ancestry World Tree also says that Elizabeth THOMPSON's father died in 1818 and her
mother in 1822. Thus, Elizabeth was orphaned before her marriage in 1828. Was Elizabeth
living with a relative in Union Co. IND?
The submitter of the Ancestry World Tree entry says that Closs THOMPSON, Jr. and family
emigrated to Franklin Co. IND.
Union Co. IND was created in 1821 from parts of Franklin, Fayette, and Wayne Co. IND.
Was Closs THOMPSON's land in that part of Franklin Co. IND that later became Union Co.
IND? What happened to his land after his death?
Where did Samuel CARSON and Elizabeth live after their marriage? I believe that Samuel
had died by early 1847. When did Elizabeth die?

Closs and Jane JONES THOMPSON" by Craig HART, 1990.
