Hi Wilbur,
Thanks for your reply. I found out about Julian Logue from my sister,
Glennajean Rasmussen. I talked to Julian about 2 years ago by phone. He
suggested I contact Janice Logue. Janice has been doing a lot of
genealogical research on the Logue, Gardner and other families. She has
already sent me a large amount of data that I have documented.
I had not thought about trying to contact Loren. On May 26, I dropped by
the Salem Meeting House and Cemetery near Cottage Grove. As I approached
the intersection near the meeting house, I looked to the left and
immediately recognized Julian's house from an old photo. I dropped by but
no one was home. I'll call him the next time we get in the area. I'd like
to visit with him and Loren.
My records show that their ancestor, William, was the tenth child of Elisha
Smith and Lydia (Gardner) Logue. My great-grandfather, Charles Fenton Logue
was the third child of Elisha and Lydia. Actually, the first two children
they had died in infancy.
I really appreciate your mentioning that there are Gardners living aroung
Cottage Grove. I'd like to find out who they are and visit with some of
them sometime soon.
I'm currently documenting a lot of new information I've discovered about the
Gardners. When I've completed documenting the this new data, I'd like to
share this information with those who might be interested.
May I ask how you knew about the Logue and Gardner families? Are they among
your ancestors?
Bob

Bob,
Have you ever contacted, Julian or Loren Logue they both live in Union
County? They are decedents of William Logue who lived in Union County
around the turn of the century.
There were Gardners living around Cottage Grove in Union County and
Liberty.
If I'm not mistaken both families may have been associated with
the Salem
Church.
I hope this info may help you.
