Michele,
Nell doesn't ring a bell with me. The girl in the genealogy department of
the Library will be able to fill you in about the Historical Society. I
would think the Clerks Office and the Recorders Office in the Court House
would be able to tell you about any divorce and marriage records. The
County health Office would have the death certificate if he died at home.
If not they are probably in the Wayne County Court House in Richmond In.
Englewood is probably seventy miles south of us.

<< Mr Sharp,
Hi again. Just wanted to thank you again for your replies. I have
composed
my letters to the Liberty Herald, the Union County Library and one to
the
Courthouse. I was unable to locate a listing for the historical society,
so
I wasn't able to contact them. I don't know when, I will be
able to get
down there, but I have already called my mother and she would like to go
too!
My Mom seems to recall that Will's wife's name may have been Nell. Does
that, by chance, ring a bell? Mom also thinks that he may have been
married
a few times. It's kind of funny...Great grandfather never liked
my
mother.
He was totally against my parents marriage, as he felt that my father
was
stepping "down" in social stature, by marrying a country girl, like my
mother. Quite frankly, the stories I have heard about Grandfather have
not
been very complimentary, although I understand that he was held in
high
regard in the community.
Anyway, once again. Thank you so much. Oh, by the way. I have a good
friend that lives in Englewood. Isn't that near you?
Thanks so much.
Michele

a good

to call or write the Library before you make the trip to learn the
hours

let me

and I will have my sister find out for me. I feel certain he would
have
had
a will which would be recorded in the Court House.
