I knew Dr. Thompson when I was a boy living in Liberty. I remember Ned , I
believe you are correct he died of TB. I do not recall his wife but I think
she was alive in the twenties. Doc was the county health officer in 1920,
his name is on my birth certificate. If I was looking for information on
him I would check for his will in Union County. I can't remember when he
died his death certificate might have some information. Also the Liberty
Hearld (the Local paper still being published) would probably have quite a
write up at the time of his death. The Union County Library has some old
issues. You might be able to get some information from the Historical
Society. They have an active group in
Liberty.
I hope this helps you.

Subject: [IN Union] Thompsons in Liberty, IN
HI! I am brand new to all of this. I am trying to research my family and
there is hardly anyone alive to assist me! lol
My great grandfather was Dr. Will Thompson and he lived in Liberty, IN.
He
had a son Clarence and Ned. Clarence, my grandfather, was a dentist
and
moved to South Bend for a period of time. He died in 1961. Ned, as I
recall, died of TB. I don't ever recall hearing of the grandmother, so
I'm
assuming she must have died at a young age.
If anyone can assist me in any way, I would be so grateful! I really
don't
have a place to start.
THANKS
Michele Guros
